WHO WE ARE

The Friends of the Eastham Council on Aging, Inc. is a 501-C-3 non-profit corporation helping the Eastham senior community enjoy active aging.

The FRIENDS of the Eastham COA raise money for year-round programs and services that are not funded by the Town of Eastham, or the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

The Friends of the Eastham Council on Aging (FECOA) play a strong role in support of our local Eastham COA by providing necessary financial help through the organization of fundraisers, memberships, special events and outreach.

Our organization raises awareness, promotes vibrant aging and encourages community involvement.

The Friends seek to gather funds that allow the Eastham Council on Aging to improve their services, enhancing the lives of seniors and creating a more age-friendly community.

We aim to enrich the lives of Eastham residents aged 59 and older by providing financial support for better programs and activities. The Friends request donations to help ensure that services for Eastham’s older adults remain affordable. Please consider donating to support our efforts.

This is an interview in Summer of 2025 with Sandy Szedlak, the first paid director of the Eastham Council on Aging talking about the early history of the Town of Eastham’s and the Friends support of our Senior Citizens.
